The past month has been quite a whirlwind. I have not kept up with the running. At this point before my 15k I should be putting in 20-25 miles a week, but with classwork, work, strength and conditioning (S & C), and stupid allergy attacks I am lucky to make it 10 miles. I am looking to find the motivation to complete homework and go running on the same night. I just feel like there are not enough hours in the day to get it all done (as if no one has ever felt this before).
It has been helpful to get back into morning workouts (as much as I hate being at the gym at 7:30am). Ashley is a great workout buddy. She is very go with the flow and does not really care how we workout. She just likes having an accountability buddy. We have S & C on Monday mornings, sprint training with Nakreshia on Wednesday morning, and Kickboxing Friday afternoons. We tried Thursday S & C, but it was just too much for me. In an ideal world I would like to add runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoons...but it has been just Sunday, Monday, and some Thursdays since school began on January 11th.
Gasparilla Race weekend is now less than a month away and I haven't run 9 miles since Ragnar.
On an exciting note, we (The Running Reckers) have begun planning for our big trip out west in October. We have decided to run the Las Vegas Ragnar as an Ultra team. This means 6 crazy runners instead of 12. I am so super stoked and will most likely be writing about this event for the rest of the year. We are officially changing our name to the Tampa Running Reckers and will be focused on raising money for the Moffitt Cancer Center. This is going to be great!

I just know that training for Ragnar will be so much better since the last go round. You see, I finish up my Master's this semester and after May 8th I will have nights free of homework!!!!! What a wonderful feeling, so let's not bring up I will be starting a job search soon. More reason to keep running. The routine is nice.
Well, that is all for this post. I will try to get more posts in as Gasparilla Race weekend approaches. 15k Saturday, Feb. 27. Marathon (My 1st) Team Relay on Sunday, Feb. 28th!
